Elsten Resturant | Chick-Fil-A

Customers need renderings, typically, when something is going to be very different than before, and/or when they need to get local government approval for the building they want to create. This design was a big departure from their previous design in both materials and structure, and included a lot of natural light through the roof and along the centerline of the building.

This project also included a two-minute walk-through animation produced in mental ray.

The client liked to see images that showed different sightlines the customer would have, Above we see the effect that natural light has on the interior, and shows off some new thematic elements.

This design included a window so that customers could see back into the kitchen area. This was a critical part of the design evolution, and having the proper lighting and surfaces was important.

This design included new digital signage, and interesting (to render) small metal subway tiles. The Iray renderer was critical in being able to render the reflections of all the shiny surfaces in a reasonable amount of time, and with high quality. Stainless steel is another surface that can look spotty when rendered without the high level of iterations possible with Iray.

Evaluating what the customer and the employee would see, from a variety of vantage points, was something we produced for the client, designers, and architects, with every design iteration.
